Fertilization

After you sign up for a fertilization plan, we conduct a Lawn Assessment and further tailor a plan that fits your lawn’s individual needs. Each full-service lawn plan includes fertilization that uses a slow-release formula that is applied at key points in every season to stimulate and maintain growth.

The fertilization process involves three primary considerations:

  • Proper amounts. Before applying fertilizer, we determine the square footage of your lawn so we know how much fertilizer you’ll need. The right ingredients, along with the proper amount and timing create the recipe for a greener lawn.
  • Proper ingredients. Fertilizer comes in a variety of mixes, so we determine which mix is best for your lawn’s needs. The analysis of fertilizer indicates the percentage of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium we aim to apply.
  • Proper scheduling. The timing of fertilization treatments is equally important to achieve a healthy, green, and thriving lawn. Controlled-release fertilizers deliver just enough quick-release nitrogen to produce a fast greening, while the balance is released gradually by microbial action in the soil over a period of approximately 8 weeks. As a result, there is a constant supply of nitrogen for the grass.

Weed Control

Our specialists are trained to know everything about weed control and weeds—including those that are most prevalent in your area. There are two main types of weeds that pose a threat to your property:

  • Perennial weeds are resilient and can live longer than two years. They can reappear even after repeated attempts to eliminate them because their storage organs, located at or below the surface of the soil, make it easy for them to not only reproduce quickly, but also survive adverse weather conditions.
  • Annual weeds have a life cycle that lasts only for one season; however, because they tend to germinate and come out at times of the year when pre-emergent weed control is not active, they can also be very difficult to control.
  • We have products designed to control any weed problems you're experiencing.
